ABOUT THE PROJECT
Over the past 5 years David & Merelyn (Carter & Carter) along with the Foggy Mountain Music Festival team have written songs with the students from Kinglake, Middle Kinglake, Kinglake West, Toolangi, Flowerdale and Strathewen Primary Schools, resulting in some incredible songs with unique lyrics. These songs have also been performed at the Foggy Mountain Music Festival each year, and many of the schools have used their songs in productions and other school and community events.
This year we are capturing a lasting record of these songs and providing students both past and present, with the opportunity to be involved in the creative process; through singing, recording, video, art and performance, with their friends and community across the ranges. The final outcome will be 13 professionally recorded songs (2 from each school plus a finale), behind the scenes footage, artwork from each school and a special community CD launch event on Thursday 14th November as a culmination of the project.
This project will involves 400 plus current students. It will also involve a large number of family, friends and community and be a wonderful celebration of the creativity of youth across the ranges.

EVENT DETAILS
On Thursday 14th of November the students from Kinglake, Middle Kinglake, Kinglake West, Strathewen, Toolangi and Flowerdale Primary Schools will officially launch their CD featuring their original songs at the Kinglake Ranges Community Centre (cnr of Exton's Rd).
The event starts at 5.30pm with Food & Fun Stalls and the concert kicks off at 6.30pm.
This is a special community event showcasing the creativity of the primary school students across the ranges.
Tickets are $20/adult and $10/child (Child performing FREE)
