David and Merelyn have won top songwriting awards both nationally and internationally in a variety of genres. They are multi-award winners, including a Golden Guitar and an APRA award, plus they have had twelve National #1 radio hits as Carter & Carter and are one of the most awarded Independent Artists in Australia. They have taught at the CMAA Academy in Tamworth for over ten years in various roles and they run group workshops in songwriting, performance and career planning throughout Australia for all age levels.
